The Foundation’s mission focuses on two important areas: providing scholarship opportunities for students and supporting efforts related to cardiomyopathy research, awareness, and detection.
Supporting Cardiomyopathy Research
Cardiomyopathy affects the heart muscle and can have a significant impact on individuals and families. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), in particular, is a genetic condition that can affect people of all ages.
Supporting research and awareness is an important part of the Foundation’s mission. Through contributions and fundraising efforts, the Foundation is able to provide gifts that support medical research as well as initiatives focused on increasing awareness and improving detection of cardiomyopathy.
These efforts are part of a larger commitment to help communities better understand cardiomyopathy and the importance of recognizing and addressing potential heart conditions.
Investing in Students
Research is one part of where Foundation funds are directed. Another important part of the mission is providing scholarship awards to students pursuing post-secondary education.
The Foundation has established scholarship support through initiatives including awards for graduating students and an endowment supporting scholarships at Rutgers University.
By supporting education, the Foundation helps students take the next step toward their academic and professional goals while continuing Ken’s legacy of giving back to others.
Making Every Donation Count
The Foundation’s Board is entirely volunteer-run, helping keep administrative overhead low. This allows the Foundation to focus its resources on the causes it was established to support.
Funds raised through the Foundation’s golf outing and other fundraising efforts are directed toward its mission, including scholarships and gifts supporting medical research, cardiomyopathy awareness, and detection.
