Real Impact. Brighter Tomorrows

We were heartbroken to learn that a young man from our children’s school had died from sudden cardiac arrest. We wanted so badly to have our own children screened, but even the modest donation was difficult for our family at the time. Thanks to the Ken Carlson Foundation, both of our children were screened at no cost. Thankfully, their hearts were healthy. The peace of mind was priceless. We are so grateful.

Our son does in fact have the bicuspid aortic valve like you guys thought. So grateful for your agency and the fact that it was detected. Thank you again for everything and for following up.

Where each dollar goes

In partnership with Heartfelt Cardiac Projects, we host free screening days for athletes ages 12–25. Each student receives a health history review, blood pressure check, and a non-invasive ECG read by a volunteer cardiologist. Families leave the same day with results and, when needed, a referral pathway.
